As I’m sure most of you already know, Stumble Upon is a new take on an old (kinda) idea… it’s like social bookmarking only way more pro-active and involved. Actually its also kind of like a traffic exchange but not really like a traffic exchange!
Yes, that’s right… it’s like those things yet completely different.
Stumble Upon lets you rate websites, thumbs up or thumbs down. Not only that but you can leave a comment or review about any website and even associate Tags with it. Hence the similarity to the many social bookmarking sites.
This isn’t the end of it though. It’s only the beginning because you can also let Stumble Upon suggest websites to you based on your own preferences. It’s a great way to kill boredom and drive traffic. So in this respect it somewhat resembles the traffic exchanges of days gone by… but without any sort of a points system.
It’s all about give and take. Give ratings, visit websites, have fun and spread the love because it will eventually come full circle and help you out in the end!
